If we had serious legislators, they should not just tax candies, they should tax all the foods that are unhealthy starting from sodas and all the foods containing H.F. Corn Syrup.

They also need to remove the taxes from food supplements like vitamins or any food supplement that helps preventing deseases.
It is ridiculous that they are charging a tax on people that try to stay in good health.

Not to get you down F.G.G. but I’ve recently heard that the candy tax is officially a no go, or at the very least many sweet treats have been pulled off the bill. I have mixed opinions about the idea of taxing candy, as well as other foods good or bad. I think I’d rather see incentives to sell good food as opposed to taxes on bad foods. When I say good foods I mean things like fruits, vegetables, fresh meats. Keep the basics reasonably priced but don’t punish people for wanting a treat either.
